Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nicky Stapleton kicked off to start the match. If Sean Egan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Downriver AFC booed when Charles Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Agachi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Higgins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sean Egan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Stapleton who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Ivan Higgins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tyrone Fowler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Cowan in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Sydney Cowan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tyrone Fowler. Charles Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sydney Cowan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Ivan Higgins stood somewhat misplaced when Nicky Stapleton came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 27 minute. After 31 minutes, Sydney Cowan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Downriver AFC and the Charles Town players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 31st minute, Sydney Cowan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Downriver AFC's zone, Sean Egan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Higgins came out of the goal and Sean Egan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Sydney Cowan made the kick off in the second half. Ivan Higgins stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicky Stapleton's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Nicky Stapleton sped through Downriver AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Higgins. During the 56th minute of the match Sydney Cowan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sydney Cowan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Downriver AFC's Sydney Cowan got a free kick in the 57th minute. Sean Egan scored 7-1 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Higgins, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Sean Egan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles Town's Moises Baltazar was substituted for Jose Manuel Adan. Charles Town's Albino Berenguer was substituted for Sid Gentry. After 65 minutes, Sean Egan made it 8-1 with a short kick to the right side. Downriver AFC's Ivan Higgins tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Vince Bustamante was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Downriver AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charles Town the free kick. After a rather tough play, Downriver AFC's Vince Bustamante got a free kick in the 68th minute. Charles Town made a substitution. Avery King replaced Sean Egan. After 72nd play minutes Avery King shot 9-1, a short shot which went by Ivan Higgins and just under the crossbar into goal. Ivan Higgins came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Charles Town's Avery King. But to his dismay, Avery King quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-1. Nicky Stapleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Higgins having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Nicky Stapleton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ivan Higgins was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. The Charles Town fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Charles Town's Nicky Stapleton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 13-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Charles Town fully deserved thier win.
