In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind RiverCity Gamblers's goalkeeper Ismael Kline, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Diego Rubin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damien Levy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariah Rosales, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Keenan Cottrell struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Ismael Kline didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Gate. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Rubin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ismael Kline. That made the score 0-1 in the 72 minute of play. Keenan Cottrell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Rubin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ismael Kline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 88 played minutes West Gate got a freekick which was hit by Quinn Samuels. Diego Rubin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The West Gate supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing West Gate would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
