Zachery Ayers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierre Bocanegra's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Tyrell Ragsdale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FAIR PLAY MZ's Roberto Alston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FAIR PLAY MZ from getting a goal against them. Tyrell Ragsdale's late challenge caught a Retamoso FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Zachery Henderson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zachery Ayers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute FAIR PLAY MZ were awarded a corner. Pierre Bocanegra went to the cornerflag to take it. 90 minutes into the match, Zachery Henderson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zachery Ayers. Retamoso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zachery Henderson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Despite being the better team, Retamoso FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
