After 5 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Porter Shipp. In the 6th match minute, JiNan QuanYun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yong Esquivel to maneuver through the defense. JiNan QuanYun's Randell Barger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denver Thome in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lions FC defense, Alvin Dwyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Korey Conley. The Lions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Korey Conley should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Alvin Dwyer made a precise shot to the right of Korey Conley. Lions FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Wilmer Kerns charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilmer Kerns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to JiNan QuanYun getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Wilmer Kerns hit a great ball. In the 18th minute of the match Reinaldo Coyle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Randell Barger showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Korey Conley came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by JiNan QuanYun's Alvin Dwyer. But to his dismay, Alvin Dwyer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Sung Conrad took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Randell Barger. Randell Barger dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Emery Kearns charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emery Kearns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lions FC's Emery Kearns got a free kick in the 30th minute. Lions FC's Brice Peters shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 32nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Randell Barger but with some difficulty. In the 33rd minute, Napoleon Spangler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 38 played minutes JiNan QuanYun got a freekick which was hit by Marshall Sears. When Napoleon Spangler fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored JiNan QuanYun's protests and gave Napoleon Spangler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lions FC booed when JiNan QuanYun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Spangler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvin Dwyer struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Korey Conley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JiNan QuanYun.

58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lions FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Homer Johnston was slow to take the kick. During this time JiNan QuanYun's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilmer Kerns got free with Korey Conley in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Homer Johnston struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Korey Conley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JiNan QuanYun. After 72 played minutes Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Porter Shipp. A collision led to JiNan QuanYun getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Wilmer Kerns hit a great ball. Virgil Hubbard lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Sung Conrad walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Alvin Dwyer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korey Conley having to interfere. The Lions FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching JiNan QuanYun's performance. The match ended with a win for JiNan QuanYun.
