Pingyu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pago Pago FC the free kick. Ben Stoddard kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Duncan Saucedo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin Henley skillfully saved the ball. Robin Henley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacques Duff in the 8th minute. After 9 played minutes Pingyu FC got a freekick which was hit by Jack Kincaid. 15 minutes into the game, Gordon Wiggins recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Robin Henley. Gordon Wiggins showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Darnell Bowling came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Pingyu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darnell Bowling couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the match, Pingyu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gordon Wiggins came free, but Robin Henley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darnell Bowling in the 25th minute of play forced Pago Pago FC's goalkeeper Jarrett Brewer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Brewer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darnell Bowling in the 28th minute of play. Jarrett Brewer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedict Massey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elijah Spivey might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarrett Brewer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elijah Spivey ran back to his position shaking his head. Robin Henley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gordon Wiggins, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Pago Pago FC's Jarrett Brewer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elijah Spivey in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes, Curt Bergstrom made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Pago Pago FC's Jarrett Brewer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Pingyu FC's Elijah Spivey in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pago Pago FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gordon Wiggins to strike the kick off in the second half. Robin Henley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Solomon Riker in the 51st minute of the match. 51 minutes into the match, Pingyu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Solomon Riker came free, but Robin Henley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robin Henley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacques Duff, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd match minute, Pingyu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Fields to maneuver through the defense. In the 57thth minute of the game Benedict Massey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pago Pago FC's Jarrett Brewer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elijah Spivey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Jarrett Brewer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarrett Brewer was a little too slow when Darnell Bowling got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-2. Pingyu FC's Elijah Spivey got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedict Massey's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jarrett Brewer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Solomon Riker in the 80th minute of play forced Pingyu FC's goalkeeper Robin Henley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pingyu FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
