Blair Dupre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Korey Conley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaspar Niinep kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Shawn Wood took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Korey Conley to make any attempt to save it. In the 11th match minute, Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Porter Shipp to maneuver through the defense. Porter Shipp made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Reinaldo Coyle immediately put the ball in play. Lions FC's Korey Conley proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Lions FC from getting a goal against them. In the 23rdth minute of the game Zack Lindsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions FC's Korey Conley was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Shawn Wood had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Reinaldo Coyle fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lions FC's protests and gave Reinaldo Coyle a yellow card for diving instead. Reinaldo Coyle hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shawn Wood got free with Korey Conley in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes, Porter Shipp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions FC and the Boston University players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Porter Shipp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blair Dupre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sung Conrad in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúlo Irisarri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Shawn Wood's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Korey Conley skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sung Conrad in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raúlo Irisarri saved Boston University from getting behind. Korey Conley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Lindsey in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zack Lindsey was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Zack Lindsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Lions FC's zone, Shawn Wood stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Korey Conley came out of the goal and Shawn Wood tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 56th minute Shawn Wood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korey Conley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Boston University:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lions FC:s goal. Raúlo Irisarri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donovan York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donovan York in the 68th minute of play forced Boston University's goalkeeper Raúlo Irisarri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Raúlo Irisarri successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Raúlo Irisarri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donovan York, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd match minute, Boston University was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Cannon to maneuver through the defense. Boston University's Raúlo Irisarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donovan York in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Shawn Wood left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boston University fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Sung Conrads short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Raúlo Irisarri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Denver Thome came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Denver Thome couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Boston University getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jesse Cannon hit a great ball. Raúlo Irisarri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sung Conrad in the 98th minute. Boston University were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lions FC for a fine match.
