After a rather tough play, Weymouth Soccer's Tyrone Doe got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a little luck, Weymouth Soccer's Harry Holden got control of the ball when Luther Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Helena FC's Luther Acevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Weymouth Soccer's zone, Luther Acevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Holden came out of the goal and Luther Acevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dominic Coffman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hal McQueen, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hal McQueen was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Randell Mullins got free with Dominic Coffman in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
