Dario Patrick kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute, Roy Wiggins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. San Jose Sparrows's Stephan Spears got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrick Braun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thad Hickman in the 41st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Stephan Spears put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Rodrick Braun. After the first half San Jose Sparrows were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephan Spears to make the kick off. Anabola Pojkarna's Alberto Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrick Braun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, Stephan Spears ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrick Braun was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Virgilio Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Schmidt having to interfere. Osvaldo Maloney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Pedro Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgilio Delgado in the 81st minute of play forced San Jose Sparrows's goalkeeper Pedro Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stephan Spears could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Rodrick Braun made a huge save. After a rather tough play, San Jose Sparrows's Bennett Clayton got a free kick in the 84th minute. When the match was over San Jose Sparrows could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Anabola Pojkarna throughout the match.
