Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Gregory Short started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 2 played minutes Energy FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Mathews. Colorado FC's William Nordkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Colorado FC from getting a goal against them. David McKinnon's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but William Nordkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dario Steele kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Jonathon Banning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woodrow Patrick having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregory Short in the 19th minute of play forced Colorado FC's goalkeeper William Nordkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Wally Covington's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Woodrow Patrick was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Colorado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gregory Short came free, but William Nordkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wally Covington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Woodrow Patrick having to interfere. Energy FC's Dario Steele got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. William Nordkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Mathews in the 35th minute of the match. If Wally Covington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wally Covington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wally Covington in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Woodrow Patrick prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colorado FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sammy Dunbar in the 47th minute. Jesus Arellano tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Woodrow Patrick. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-1 in the 47th minute.

Dario Steele hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After 59 minutes, Wally Covington made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Energy FC's Woodrow Patrick tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wally Covington received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Woodrow Patrick came out and tried to block the shot, but Wally Covington slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 69th minute. Emanuel Rosenthal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Energy FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Jaime Mathews hit a great ball. Wally Covington had several of the Energy FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 76 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Woodrow Patrick as he didn't even see the shot coming. Wally Covington recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Colorado FC's Wally Covington came free and shot a quick shot against goal 83 minutes in the game, fortunately Woodrow Patrick had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Wally Covington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colorado FC's Jonathon Banning got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Energy FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wally Covington fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match was over Colorado FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Energy FC throughout the match.
