Nathan Echols fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyron Carrillo having to interfere. Alonso Kinsey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Hooks in the 9th minute of play. Josef Fujieda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tyron Carrillo having to make a save. In the 20th minute, Josef Fujieda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Nathan Echols who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but High Point AFC's Tyron Carrillo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tyron Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Josef Fujieda took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyron Carrillo. Tyron Carrillo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Lisle AFC's Nathan Echols in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye High Point AFC's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Josef Fujieda sped through High Point AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tyron Carrillo. If Nathan Echols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nathan Echols made a kick off. Nathan Echols sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute of the match, Josef Fujieda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tyron Carrillo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Nathan Echols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. One of High Point AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lisle AFC:s goal. Milo Huffman hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tyron Carrillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milo Huffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nathan Echols had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, High Point AFC's Tyron Carrillo got control of the ball when Josef Fujieda tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th minute, Lisle AFC's Nathan Echols ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tyron Carrillo. Tyron Carrillo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. In the 91st match minute, Lisle AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waylon Cobb to maneuver through the defense. If Domingo Hooks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josef Fujieda was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 97th minute. Lisle AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
