Spectators: 7825 (Terracing: 6025, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 0) Discovery Bay's Darrel McCauley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Gerardo Cote, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 2 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rick Lane was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Playo Moreno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rick Lane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Cunha got free with Rick Lane in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Playo Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 10 in the game by Playo Moreno from a close distance when the talented Rick Lane managed to make a qualified save. Discovery Bay's players were relieved. If Manuel Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Gerardo Cote got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Baltazar during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodolfo Baltazar hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Manuel Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gerardo Cote had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Playo Moreno in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rick Lane, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Discovery Bay's Percy Brantley got a free kick in the 27th minute. Manuel Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rick Lane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Manuel Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Southside USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Darrel McCauley kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Southside USA's Deshawn Shipman got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute, Southside USA's Deshawn Shipman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Cunha was the one to do the kick off. Darrel McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonah Bates having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Discovery Bay's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Cunha came free, but Rick Lane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Southside USA's goalkeeper Jonah Bates, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Playo Moreno put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rick Lane. Percy Brantley hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. When Southside USA's Manuel Cunha in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Discovery Bay's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Discovery Bay booed when Southside USA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Cote in the 79th minute of play forced Discovery Bay's goalkeeper Rick Lane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Playo Moreno took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rick Lane. Rick Lane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After a rather tough play, Discovery Bay's Tanner Goldman got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 88 minutes into the game, Southside USA's Manuel Cunha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rick Lane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 91 minutes into the game, Gerardo Cote cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Rick Lane was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the referee ended the match the Southside USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
