Redford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Myles Cano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Nicholas Wolff successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Todd Welsh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Devin Oliver went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Herrera in the 46th minute of play forced Novatoo's goalkeeper Nicholas Wolff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Redford's Cary Allen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicholas Wolff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cary Allen was the one to do the kick off. Nicholas Wolff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Herrera in the 53rd minute of the match. The Novatoo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicholas Wolff should have stopped the shot. Todd Welsh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Randell Rivera in the 73rd minute. A throw-in in the 74th minute of the game was made by Vaughn Weeks with Grant Sullivan as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Thomas Solis kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to Novatoo getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Ross Burch hit a great ball. Redford's Myles Cano got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th match minute, Novatoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Whalen to maneuver through the defense. Randell Rivera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Todd Welsh made a huge save. Lee Villa kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, Redford's Todd Welsh got control of the ball when Randell Rivera tried to sneak it across the goal line. 97 minutes into the match, Timmy Herrera notched a goal, 9-2, to the right of Novatoo's Nicholas Wolff. Nicholas Wolff was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Novatoo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
