Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Michael Crusher got the match started through his kick off. Monmouth's Alex Westbrook proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Monmouth from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Monmouth's Michael Crusher nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicholas Wolff made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alex Westbrook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randell Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Randell Rivera could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Alex Westbrook made a huge save. With a little luck, Monmouth's Alex Westbrook got control of the ball when Randell Rivera tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Novatoo's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Crusher came free, but Nicholas Wolff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Westbrook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randell Rivera in the 35th minute of the match. Nigel Whalen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alex Westbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alex Westbrook took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devin Oliver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Randell Rivera to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Monmouth's zone, James Starnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Westbrook came out of the goal and James Starnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Randell Rivera notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Monmouth's Alex Westbrook. Alex Westbrook was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Werner Vickers hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Jose Bond took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alex Westbrook. Monmouth's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 65th minute Devin Oliver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Westbrook saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 minutes, Nigel Whalen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Novatoo and the Monmouth players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Novatoo got a freekick which was hit by Nigel Whalen. Nicholas Wolff stood somewhat misplaced when Michael Crusher came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Randell Rivera in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Westbrook prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 90 minutes of play, Novatoo's Randell Rivera made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Westbrook was left in no man's land by his defense there!
