An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickey Decker in the 27th minute of play forced Novatoo's goalkeeper Nicholas Wolff to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicholas Wolff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rickey Decker, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 34th match minute, Novatoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Devin Oliver to maneuver through the defense. John Hartford FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devin Oliver was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3.
