The supporters of Novatoo booed when Washburn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scottie Reid didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Casey Whitfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Wolff was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Novatoo's Leonard Gann got a free kick in the 37th minute. Scottie Reid was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Randell Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nigel Whalen charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nigel Whalen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Casey Whitfield made the kick off in the second half. Washburn FC made a substitution. Cliff Horner replaced Alonzo Donovan. In the 63rd minute, Scottie Reid got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicholas Wolff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duane Glenn in the 68th minute of the match. Walter Bruner charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Randell Rivera in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaiah Grove prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Randell Rivera in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Isaiah Grove, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 79th match minute, Novatoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Whalen to maneuver through the defense. Nicholas Wolff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Whitfield in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Devin Oliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novatoo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devin Oliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Isaiah Grove made an important save on a dangerous shot by James Starnes in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Washburn FC's zone, Randell Rivera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaiah Grove came out of the goal and Randell Rivera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Whitfield in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Wolff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee ended the match the Washburn FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
