The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claude Helton helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 played minutes Monmouth got a freekick which was hit by Claude Helton. A throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game was made by Gilbert Calvert with Merlin Cermak as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alex Westbrook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cary Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Crusher made a kick off. Monmouth's Alex Westbrook played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Herrera in the 60th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Cary Allen took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Alex Westbrook to make any attempt to save it. Redford played a much better game than Monmouth and deserved their victory. The Monmouth players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
