Nicholas Wolff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Percy Riker, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Ross Burch charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ross Burch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Topton booed when Novatoo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonard Gann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Devin Oliver might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregg Erickson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Devin Oliver ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Topton's zone, Devin Oliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregg Erickson came out of the goal and Devin Oliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute, Ronny Handy made a precise shot to the right of Nicholas Wolff. Novatoo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Maurice Freeman took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nicholas Wolff. Nicholas Wolff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Hector Gillespie kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Nicholas Wolff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Travis Cangiano in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Percy Riker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Wolff was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Randell Rivera to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurice Freeman got free with Nicholas Wolff in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Grant Sullivan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Wolff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Handy in the 65th minute of play. When Leonard Gann fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Novatoo's protests and gave Leonard Gann a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Novatoo's Leonard Gann got a free kick in the 68th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Topton's Elliot Starks tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Novatoo getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Thomas Solis hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devin Oliver in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregg Erickson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 76 minutes, Randell Rivera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Novatoo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Randell Rivera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicholas Wolff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percy Riker in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute Ronny Handy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicholas Wolff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joey Sorenson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Maurice Freeman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicholas Wolff. Novatoo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurice Freeman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Nicholas Wolff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronny Handy in the 92nd minute of play. Maurice Freeman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 94thth minute, Nicholas Wolff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 96 minutes into the match, Ronny Handy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicholas Wolff, 0-5.
