The audience was convinced that Rolando Callahan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Westbrook was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Rolando Callahan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Westbrook. Monmouth's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolando Callahan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 39th minute, Rolando Callahan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Westbrook was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Weldon Wells hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Michael Crusher was the one to do the kick off. Alex Westbrook made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Callahan in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Callahan in the 57th minute of play forced Monmouth's goalkeeper Alex Westbrook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garret Dodson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. Garret Dodson hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Duffy in the 77th minute of play forced Monmouth's goalkeeper Alex Westbrook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Westbrook didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Los Angeles F.C's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
