The audience was convinced that Randell Rivera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zachariah Quintana was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. When Randell Rivera came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Novatoo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Randell Rivera couldn't finish the play. In the 19th match minute, Novatoo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nigel Whalen to maneuver through the defense. Nicholas Wolff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phillip Benitez in the 21st minute of play. In the 26th minute, Elton Rowan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicholas Wolff was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Zachariah Quintana came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Novatoo's Ross Burch. But to his dismay, Ross Burch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Grant Sullivan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Zachariah Quintana made a huge save. James Starnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Zachariah Quintana made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Zachariah Quintana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Zachariah Quintana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randell Rivera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Montesa de Lugo's Zachariah Quintana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Whalen in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th minute Randell Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zachariah Quintana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zachariah Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randell Rivera in the 56th minute of the match. Nigel Whalen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicholas Wolff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillip Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to Novatoo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Leonard Gann hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes, Montesa de Lugo's Trent Stafford shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicholas Wolff came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Montesa de Lugo reached it. Alfredo Quinn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Nicholas Wolff made a huge save. In the 64th minute, Randell Rivera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Maurice Holzer fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montesa de Lugo's protests and gave Maurice Holzer a yellow card for diving instead. If James Starnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Randell Rivera in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zachariah Quintana saved Montesa de Lugo from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Bennett Aaron was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montesa de Lugo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Novatoo the free kick. After 70 played minutes Montesa de Lugo got a freekick which was hit by Bennett Aaron. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Starnes in the 72nd minute of play forced Montesa de Lugo's goalkeeper Zachariah Quintana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachariah Quintana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Randell Rivera's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Montesa de Lugo getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Allan Bruner hit a great ball. Zachariah Quintana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randell Rivera in the 77th minute of the match. Ross Burch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Zachariah Quintana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Montesa de Lugo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Novatoo:s goal. Zachariah Quintana had in the 95thth minute some difficulties stopping Randell Rivera's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Novatoo were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Montesa de Lugo to leave the ground with a draw.
