Seating: 1830, VIP seats: 158) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Cunha took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manuel Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manuel Cunha hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of Southside USA booed when Monmouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claude Helton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th minute, Manuel Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Alex Westbrook. Monmouth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Michael Crusher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Westbrook showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Sierra, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Cunha in the 29th minute of play forced Monmouth's goalkeeper Alex Westbrook to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Gerardo Cote managed to get in a good position for a shot. Southside USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerardo Cote was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Westbrook breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Chappelle kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Playo Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Alex Westbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
In the 52nd minute, Manuel Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Southside USA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 59 minutes into the game, Werner Vickers threw the ball into play from the sideline. Southside USA's Basil Lockett quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Monmouth's Alex Westbrook proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Monmouth from getting a goal against them. Deshawn Shipman kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Southside USA's Basil Lockett got a free kick in the 65th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Monmouth's goalkeeper Alex Westbrook had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Playo Moreno. Alex Westbrook showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Cote in the 69th minute of the match. Darryl Sinclair kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Playo Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southside USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Playo Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Monmouth's Claude Helton got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to Monmouth getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Alberto Chappelle hit a great ball. When Manuel Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southside USA's protests and gave Manuel Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Manuel Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Weldon Wells during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 87 minutes, Xavier Sierra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Southside USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Sierra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Alex Westbrook tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Xavier Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Monmouth got a freekick which was hit by Michael Crusher. The Monmouth fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Southside USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
