Spectators: 8029 (Terracing: 6023, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 160) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ronny Handy took the kick off in the first half of the match. Casey Whitfield sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 6thth minute of the game Casey Whitfield who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Topton's Gregg Erickson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maurice Freeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elliot Starks took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isaiah Grove. Washburn FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Duane Glenn struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Gregg Erickson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Washburn FC. In the 15th minute, Ronny Handy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 18th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When Percy Riker fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Topton's protests and gave Percy Riker a yellow card for diving instead. Percy Riker kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. With his leg Gregg Erickson managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maurice Freeman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Casey Whitfield recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Isaiah Grove stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurice Freeman's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to Topton getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ronny Handy hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Cliff Rutledge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Whitfield in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregg Erickson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Monte Shelton charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Monte Shelton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Topton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Monte Shelton to maneuver through the defense. Isaiah Grove showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Handy, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Travis Cangiano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Isaiah Grove came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Topton's Ronny Handy. But to his dismay, Ronny Handy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Isaiah Grove showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Freeman in the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Percy Riker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Casey Whitfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robbie Hicks might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gregg Erickson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Robbie Hicks ran back to his position shaking his head. Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Washburn FC booed when Topton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joey Sorenson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Casey Whitfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurice Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Isaiah Grove tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaiah Grove made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurice Freeman in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, Topton's Ronny Handy got a free kick in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Topton's goal looked a bit too open when Casey Whitfield came free, but Gregg Erickson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Washburn FC's Isaiah Grove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Handy in the 79th minute of play. Gregg Erickson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casey Whitfield in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute Duane Glenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregg Erickson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Topton's Ronny Handy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Isaiah Grove narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregg Erickson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Whitfield in the 91st minute of the match. Casey Whitfield blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gregg Erickson having to make a save.
