The Washburn FC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Washburn FC's Casey Whitfield looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 9th minute Duane Glenn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boyce Monroe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Casey Whitfield's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Boyce Monroe was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Alonzo Donovan kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After 21 minutes, Casey Whitfield made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Vilseck FC's Boyce Monroe tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Casey Whitfield in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boyce Monroe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boyce Monroe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Casey Whitfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Casey Whitfield put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Boyce Monroe. In the 35th minute, Vernon Mattson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vilseck FC's Boyce Monroe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Casey Whitfield in the 40th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Casey Whitfield stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duane Glenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Boyce Monroe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boyce Monroe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casey Whitfield in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Aaron Rasmussen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilseck FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Rasmussen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casey Whitfield got free with Boyce Monroe in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Boyce Monroe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Casey Whitfield's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. When Casey Whitfield came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Washburn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casey Whitfield couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Vernon Mattson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vilseck FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Washburn FC the free kick. After 72 played minutes Vilseck FC got a freekick which was hit by Vernon Mattson. Casey Whitfield who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Boyce Monroe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Washburn FC's zone, Aaron Rasmussen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaiah Grove came out of the goal and Aaron Rasmussen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristopher McDonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Duane Glenn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
