Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rick Lane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Myles Cano in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Thornton FC's Terrence Raines got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute, Quentin Urmanski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Myles Cano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Baltazar kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bradly Ludwig in the 23rd minute of play forced Thornton FC's goalkeeper Rick Lane to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rick Lane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cary Allen, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Terrence Raines kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Julio Thome managed to get in a good position for a shot. Redford's supporters rose to their feet, but Julio Thome was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rick Lane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Cary Allen put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rick Lane. Rick Lane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cary Allen in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Thornton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bradly Ludwig came free, but Rick Lane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cary Allen to strike the kick off in the second half. Thornton FC's Rick Lane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Myles Cano in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Timmy Herrera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rick Lane. That made the score 0-3 in the 53 minute of play. A collision led to Redford getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Cary Allen hit a great ball. Todd Welsh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darrel McCauley in the 59th minute of the match. Rick Lane made an important save on a dangerous shot by Myles Cano in the 62nd minute. With a little luck, Thornton FC's Rick Lane got control of the ball when Cary Allen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes Redford got a freekick which was hit by Bradly Ludwig. In the 71st minute Percy Brantley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Todd Welsh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Redford's Cary Allen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rick Lane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Pascal Jacobs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rodolfo Baltazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Redford's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Brantley came free, but Todd Welsh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanner Goldman hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Timmy Herrera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rick Lane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Redford's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
