In the 24th minute, Mervin Shipley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicky Nichols showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Landon Nugent, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After some careless play in the Germantown defense, Boyd Carpenter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jason Kauffman. The Germantown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jason Kauffman should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Virgil Holt was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Riley Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jason Kauffman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Nichols made an important save on a dangerous shot by Landon Nugent in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Germantown's goal looked a bit too open when Bennett Petersen came free, but Jason Kauffman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicky Nichols showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Landon Nugent, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Nicky Nichols was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Despite being the better team, Germantown failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
