After 3 played minutes Johnson Lane got a freekick which was hit by Everett Gilmore. Everett Gilmore was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Riley Moss dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aaron Vogt, 1-0. Inter Miami's Rodolfo Hood got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johnson Lane's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Riley Moss scored to the left of an out of position Aaron Vogt, making the score, 2-0. Aaron Vogt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Riley Moss showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riley Moss in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd match minute, Inter Miami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Travis Bates to maneuver through the defense. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Krause, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Johnson Lane's Aaron Vogt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bennett Petersen in the 39th minute of play. Aaron Vogt was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Riley Moss capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Riley Moss really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Desmond Garcia to make the kick off. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Krause in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Riley Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Vogt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otto Drake hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Taylor Rivas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Nichols having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Boyd Carpenter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bennett Petersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute, Taylor Rivas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami's Otto Drake got a free kick in the 70th minute. Aaron Vogt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Riley Moss in the 72nd minute of play. 78 minutes in the game Otto Drake did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Boyd Carpenter. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyd Carpenter, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After a rather tough play, Inter Miami's Otto Drake got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Rodolfo Hood made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Dwight Krause. After 91 played minutes Johnson Lane got a freekick which was hit by Damon Lehman. In the 92nd minute of the match Rodolfo Hood shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron Vogt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Aaron Vogt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riley Moss, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Aaron Vogt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Riley Moss in the 96th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boyd Carpenter in the 97th minute of play forced Johnson Lane's goalkeeper Aaron Vogt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Inter Miami had played much better football throughout.
