The corner ended in Boyd Carpenter almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's Johnathan Stubbs did a great save. 11 minutes into the game, Ted McCall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Nicky Nichols was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the match, Emmanuel Finch notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Inter Miami's Nicky Nichols. Nicky Nichols was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 18 played minutes Inter Miami got a freekick which was hit by Dwight Krause. In the 21st minute, Inter Miami's Riley Moss dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After 24 played minutes Inter Miami got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Diamond. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boyd Carpenter got free with Johnathan Stubbs in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Riley Moss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathan Stubbs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's Johnathan Stubbs got control of the ball when Riley Moss tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Riley Moss had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Johnathan Stubbs. Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Riley Moss was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Nicky Nichols took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ted McCall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stewart Diamond kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Riley Moss to make the kick off. When Inter Miami's Boyd Carpenter in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's goalie prevented a goal. 58 minutes into the match, Emmanuel Finch dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicky Nichols, 2-3. Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC made a substitution. Nathaniel Kincaid replaced Brendan Jolly. 67 minutes into the match, Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's Emmanuel Finch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicky Nichols narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Boyd Carpenter hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Nicky Nichols showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Finch in the 73rd minute of the match. Nicky Nichols made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Emmanuel Finch sent off a good shot on target. Nicky Nichols came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Tallahassee‎ Yesterday FC's Emmanuel Finch. But to his dismay, Emmanuel Finch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Inter Miami lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
