Harlan FC's Val Pool got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Heriberto Alston made a precise shot to the right of Johnathan Stubbs. Tallahassee Yesterday FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Finch in the 18th minute of play forced Harlan FC's goalkeeper Duane Carbajal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted McCall took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duane Carbajal. Duane Carbajal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Johnathan Stubbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Stoner in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Tallahassee Yesterday FC got a freekick which was hit by Ted McCall. Johnathan Stubbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Stoner in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Harlan FC booed when Tallahassee Yesterday FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joesph McNamara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Harlan FC got a freekick which was hit by Shelby Kirkland. Johnathan Stubbs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marshall Stoner in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Tallahassee Yesterday FC's goalkeeper Johnathan Stubbs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Heriberto Alston. Micah Kellogg hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Duane Carbajal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tallahassee Yesterday FC's Nathaniel Kincaid was substituted for Brendan Jolly. After a rather tough play, Harlan FC's Marshall Stoner got a free kick in the 66th minute. Walter Hawley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tallahassee Yesterday FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Johnathan Stubbs had in the 74thth minute some difficulties stopping Val Pool's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Walter Hawley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnathan Stubbs having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tallahassee Yesterday FC's Ted McCall got a free kick in the 80th minute. A collision led to Tallahassee Yesterday FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ted McCall hit a great ball. Johnathan Stubbs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Val Pool in the 82nd minute of play. Johnathan Stubbs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marshall Stoner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnathan Stubbs came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Harlan FC's Marshall Stoner. But to his dismay, Marshall Stoner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 95th play minutes Marshall Stoner shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Johnathan Stubbs and just under the crossbar into goal.
