In the 5th play minute Peter Björnberg came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mickey Pham. 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Roanoke FC's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Björnberg came free, but Mickey Pham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Peter Björnberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alaska Anchorage FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Mickey Pham was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Peter Björnberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Peter Björnberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Mickey Pham made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Peter Björnberg sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Peter Björnberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mickey Pham. Roanoke FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peter Björnberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 22nd minute Peter Björnberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Pham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Parker Armstrong's late challenge caught a Alaska Anchorage FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Parker Armstrong helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Roanoke FC's Parker Armstrong got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Mickey Pham. That made the score 6-0 after 28 minutes of play. Mickey Pham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 46 minutes, Peter Björnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alaska Anchorage FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Björnberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peter Björnberg was the one to do the kick off. Peter Björnberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Mickey Pham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Roanoke FC's goalkeeper Mickey Pham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Peter Björnberg notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Roanoke FC's Mickey Pham. Mickey Pham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Björnberg took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mickey Pham. Mickey Pham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. After 62 minutes of play, Alaska Anchorage FC's Edson Dias made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mickey Pham was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 12-0 when Peter Björnberg sped through Roanoke FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mickey Pham. When the match clock showed 75 minutes, the score became 14-0 when Peter Björnberg sped through Roanoke FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mickey Pham. Peter Björnberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mickey Pham. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peter Björnberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Mickey Pham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Björnberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roanoke FC's Mickey Pham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Björnberg in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Edson Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
