Spectators: 5510 (Terracing: 4400, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 10) Bill McCauley started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Tampa Bay's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Björnberg came free, but Donnie Holder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donnie Holder came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg. But to his dismay, Peter Björnberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 9 minutes into the game, Edson Dias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Donnie Holder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donnie Holder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Björnberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donnie Holder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play, Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donnie Holder was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Peter Björnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donnie Holder was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 28 minutes into the game, Peter Björnberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Donnie Holder was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Tampa Bay's zone, Peter Björnberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donnie Holder came out of the goal and Peter Björnberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the match, Peter Björnberg notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Tampa Bay's Donnie Holder. Donnie Holder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Peter Björnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donnie Holder having to interfere. If Peter Björnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Edson Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alaska Anchorage FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tampa Bay booed when Alaska Anchorage FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daron Watts didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Peter Björnberg came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Alaska Anchorage FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Björnberg couldn't finish the play. Ludomil Penczkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Donnie Holder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Peter Björnberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 54 minutes into the game, Ludomil Penczkowski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donnie Holder. Ludomil Penczkowski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. In the 60th minute, Peter Björnberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donnie Holder. The goal made the score 0-10. 64 minutes into the match, Tampa Bay's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Björnberg came free, but Donnie Holder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Peter Björnberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donnie Holder. The goal made the score 0-11. Peter Björnberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tampa Bay's zone, Edson Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donnie Holder came out of the goal and Edson Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Peter Björnberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Donnie Holder was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-12. 79 minutes into the game, Alaska Anchorage FC's Peter Björnberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Donnie Holder made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-13. Donnie Holder was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peter Björnberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 83 minute of play. In the 87th minute, Peter Björnberg made a precise shot to the right of Donnie Holder. Tampa Bay's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-15. 90 minutes into the game, Peter Björnberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Donnie Holder. Peter Björnberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-16. In the 94th minute, Peter Björnberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Donnie Holder. The goal made the score 0-17.
