After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Drake was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Cookeville's zone, Darin Cahill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andy Neff came out of the goal and Darin Cahill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Norman Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without D.J. Annan having to interfere. With his leg D.J. Annan managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Cookeville's Norman Drake fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andy Neff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darin Cahill in the 65th minute of the match. The supporters of Drumright AFC booed when Cookeville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. J.P. Dillard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andy Neff showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordan Rivas, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Darin Cahill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andy Neff having to interfere. Norman Drake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jordan Rivas in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andy Neff saved Cookeville from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Kenneth Whalen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Norman Drake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cookeville's supporters rose to their feet, but Norman Drake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. D.J. Annan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 93rd match minute, Drumright AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marty Moreno to maneuver through the defense. Cookeville's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
