Cameron Michael showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 10th minute, FC AUSTIN's Cameron Michael dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Cameron Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sal McKinley hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Kenner's Glen Sadler got control of the ball when Rodrigo Biggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th match minute, FC AUSTIN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryce Daugherty to maneuver through the defense. FC AUSTIN's Cameron Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Rudolf Franklin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Biggs to strike the kick off in the second half. Cameron Michael struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Glen Sadler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC AUSTIN. After having played for 54 minutes, Cristobal Root managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kenner's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristobal Root was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC AUSTIN's Lorenzo Smith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save FC AUSTIN from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the game, FC AUSTIN's Rodrigo Biggs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glen Sadler made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. FC AUSTIN's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Oren Gorman scored to the left of an out of position Lorenzo Smith, making the score, 4-1. Glen Sadler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Biggs in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, FC AUSTIN's goal looked a bit too open when Oren Gorman came free, but Lorenzo Smith reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kenner's Glen Sadler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cameron Michael in the 84th minute of play. In the 95th minute Rodrigo Biggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glen Sadler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that FC AUSTIN were the better team. FC AUSTIN's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
