Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daryl Dent made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Wade Powell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mervin Glass was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. In the 14th match minute, Mount Shasta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Grimes to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Todd Carmona made a precise shot to the right of Mervin Glass. Mount Shasta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot 20 in the game by Giovanni Michel from a close distance when the talented Garth Eason managed to make a qualified save. Vernon Hills's players were relieved. With an all-out effort, Mount Shasta's Garth Eason threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Daryl Dent, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice moves Giovanni Michel could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Garth Eason however easily saved by the left post. Garth Eason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daryl Dent, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brandon Moran in the 26th minute of play forced Mount Shasta's goalkeeper Mervin Glass to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Moises Grimes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes Mount Shasta got a freekick which was hit by Moises Grimes. If Giovanni Michel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Moises Grimes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Shasta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vernon Hills the free kick. After 41 played minutes Mount Shasta got a freekick which was hit by Moises Grimes. In the 42nd minute, Elias Lowe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mount Shasta's Mervin Glass didn't even have to move. Mervin Glass made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wade Powell in the 44th minute of play. The Mount Shasta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vernon Hills were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Todd Carmona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The Mount Shasta fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when Mount Shasta's Giovanni Michel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 58th minute, Todd Carmona reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mervin Glass. The goal made the score 1-2. Garth Eason came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Mount Shasta's Daryl Dent. But to his dismay, Daryl Dent quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Daryl Dent struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Garth Eason didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mount Shasta. Vernon Hills's Garth Eason played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alonso Oakley in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Vernon Hills's goal looked a bit too open when Daryl Dent came free, but Garth Eason reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Daryl Dent cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Garth Eason was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Mount Shasta's Daryl Dent got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Garth Eason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daryl Dent in the 76th minute of the match. Giovanni Michel took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garth Eason. Garth Eason dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. 90 minutes into the match, Mount Shasta's goalkeeper Mervin Glass had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wade Powell. Wade Powell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Mervin Glass made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daryl Dent in the 93rd minute of play forced Vernon Hills's goalkeeper Garth Eason to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garth Eason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daryl Dent in the 95th minute of the match. Vernon Hills's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
