Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Blair Merritt made the kick off which started today's match. Earl Pack hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When Alonso Oakley came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Bardstown FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alonso Oakley couldn't finish the play. If Giovanni Michel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giovanni Michel. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Blair Merritt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virga City Vipers's supporters rose to their feet, but Blair Merritt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mervin Glass breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Blair Merritt sped through Bardstown FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mervin Glass. Blair Merritt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Earl Pack's late challenge caught a Bardstown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Earl Pack helped the player get up and apologised. Earl Pack hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Rueben Ryan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alonso Oakley. After a rather tough play, Virga City Vipers's Earl Pack got a free kick in the 27th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Monte Goldsmith was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Virga City Vipers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bardstown FC the free kick. In the 37th minute, Monte Goldsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bardstown FC's Alonso Oakley shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rueben Ryan but with some difficulty. Alonso Oakley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rueben Ryan having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giovanni Michel got free with Rueben Ryan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Giovanni Michel made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Bardstown FC's goalkeeper Mervin Glass had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blair Merritt. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Merritt in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mervin Glass prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kareem Richter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 59 played minutes Bardstown FC got a freekick which was hit by Moises Grimes. 61 minutes into the game, Blair Merritt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mervin Glass. Blair Merritt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 64th minute Kareem Richter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mervin Glass saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mervin Glass took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair Merritt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bardstown FC's Mervin Glass played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Merritt in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 72 minutes, Blair Merritt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Virga City Vipers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blair Merritt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Moises Grimes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th match minute, Bardstown FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Acero to maneuver through the defense. Lonnie Luke kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Mervin Glass was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Blair Merritt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 92 minute of play. Blair Merritt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
