A wasted opportunity for Virga City Vipers. 15 minutes into the game, Power Soccer Best Club's Rolland Pike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rueben Ryan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 21st minute Rolland Pike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rueben Ryan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kareem Richter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Givens having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goal looked a bit too open when Kerry Agoos came free, but Rueben Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kerry Agoos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Rueben Ryan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the game, Power Soccer Best Club's Rolland Pike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Virga City Vipers's Rueben Ryan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Agoos in the 33rd minute of play. Rueben Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Agoos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rueben Ryan came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Power Soccer Best Club's Kerry Agoos. But to his dismay, Kerry Agoos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After 42 minutes, Benito Byrd mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Virga City Vipers and the Power Soccer Best Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benito Byrd kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Kirby Edwards took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rueben Ryan. Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ken Givens acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 44th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Earl Pack.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kerry Agoos to strike the kick off in the second half. Rueben Ryan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Agoos in the 53rd minute of the match. Monte Goldsmith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpected shot in the 57th minute by Wilber Eastman got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Kerry Agoos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Virga City Vipers getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Benito Byrd hit a great ball. Ken Givens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blair Merritt's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Wilber Eastman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rueben Ryan firmly grabbed it by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Merritt in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Givens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Power Soccer Best Club booed when Virga City Vipers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blair Merritt didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Blair Merritt sped through Power Soccer Best Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ken Givens. In the 84th minute, Monte Goldsmith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Rolland Pike left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Power Soccer Best Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the 92nd minute, Rolland Pike ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rueben Ryan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Rolland Pike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Kerry Agoos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Power Soccer Best Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Kerry Agoos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rueben Ryan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Power Soccer Best Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
