Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Boruc Zgonina took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Boruc Zgonina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rueben Ryan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dudley Lovett made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Blair Merritt sent off a good shot on target. Rueben Ryan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Randall Scruggs's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The supporters of Virga City Vipers booed when Valdosta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fletcher Berry didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blair Merritt in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudley Lovett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blair Merritt took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dudley Lovett. Dudley Lovett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Boruc Zgonina sped through Virga City Vipers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rueben Ryan. Valdosta's Boruc Zgonina got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Valdosta got a freekick which was hit by Spencer Willoughby. Rueben Ryan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Zgonina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Kareem Richter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudley Lovett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdosta's Dudley Lovett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blair Merritt in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Blair Merritt made a precise shot to the right of Dudley Lovett. Valdosta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

51 minutes into the game, Boruc Zgonina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rueben Ryan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Boruc Zgonina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rueben Ryan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabian Cooke went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. 61 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goalkeeper Rueben Ryan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Randall Scruggs. When Virga City Vipers's Blair Merritt in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valdosta's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boruc Zgonina in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rueben Ryan saved Virga City Vipers from getting behind. After 66 played minutes Virga City Vipers got a freekick which was hit by Chase Harrington. Rueben Ryan made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Fabian Cooke sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Valdosta defense, Blair Merritt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dudley Lovett. The Valdosta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dudley Lovett should have stopped the shot. Daniel Cabourne's late challenge caught a Virga City Vipers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Cabourne helped the player get up and apologised. After 73 played minutes Valdosta got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Cabourne. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Blair Merritt put it in 4-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dudley Lovett. In the 77th match minute, Valdosta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fletcher Berry to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Virga City Vipers's Monte Goldsmith got a free kick in the 80th minute. Rueben Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Zgonina in the 81st minute of play. 85 minutes into the game, Boruc Zgonina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rueben Ryan. Boruc Zgonina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-5. With a little luck, Virga City Vipers's Rueben Ryan got control of the ball when Randall Scruggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Virga City Vipers's goal looked a bit too open when Randall Scruggs came free, but Rueben Ryan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Cooke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Rueben Ryan made a huge save. Monte Goldsmith struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dudley Lovett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virga City Vipers. Dudley Lovett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kareem Richter in the 94th minute of the match. Monte Goldsmith recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdosta's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
