Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Valdosta's Boruc Zgonina started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valdosta's Boruc Zgonina managed to work through Rosemont FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Boruc Zgonina dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Jermaine Cervantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Cooke in the 6th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Boruc Zgonina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 13 played minutes Rosemont FC got a freekick which was hit by Kent Snow. Jermaine Cervantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Zgonina in the 17th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Boruc Zgonina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jermaine Cervantes was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Cooke during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fabian Cooke hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Daniel Cabourne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Fabian Cooke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valdosta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Cooke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jermaine Cervantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Cooke, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Jermaine Cervantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randall Scruggs in the 34th minute of play. Jermaine Cervantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Cooke in the 35th minute of the match. Boruc Zgonina scored 0-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jermaine Cervantes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Valdosta's Boruc Zgonina got a free kick in the 41st minute. The Rosemont FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valdosta were winning 0-2.

After some careless play in the Valdosta defense, Ali Kraft kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dudley Lovett. The Valdosta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dudley Lovett should have stopped the shot. Jermaine Cervantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boruc Zgonina's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Boruc Zgonina had several of the Rosemont FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 59 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Jermaine Cervantes as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jermaine Cervantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boruc Zgonina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jermaine Cervantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Boruc Zgonina's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Dudley Lovett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Kraft, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Boruc Zgonina was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 80th minute. Valdosta's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Valdosta's Boruc Zgonina slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jermaine Cervantes. That made the score 1-8 after 90 minutes of play. Randall Scruggs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Jermaine Cervantes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Rosemont FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Valdosta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
