Vance Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thurman Cash, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ken Givens was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Morgan Houser capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Morgan Houser really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Wyatt Donovan might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ken Givens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wyatt Donovan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute Thurman Cash shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vance Byrne didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolland Pike went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Wilber Eastman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Vance Byrne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wilber Eastman fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Power Soccer Best Club's protests and gave Wilber Eastman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 30th match minute, Power Soccer Best Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilber Eastman to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcos Crenshaw got free with Ken Givens in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vance Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickey Cummings in the 38th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Agoos in the 41st minute of play forced Kapiolani FC's goalkeeper Vance Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Crenshaw scored 2-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ken Givens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th minute Rolland Pike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kerry Agoos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Crenshaw in the 55th minute of play forced Power Soccer Best Club's goalkeeper Ken Givens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Kapiolani FC's Vance Byrne got control of the ball when Wilber Eastman tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Kapiolani FC defense, Rolland Pike kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vance Byrne. The Kapiolani FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vance Byrne should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute Orlando Christie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Givens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vance Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kerry Agoos, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 74 minutes into the game, Rolland Pike recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vance Byrne. Rolland Pike showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Vance Byrne was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Wilber Eastman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wilber Eastman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. The Power Soccer Best Club fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Power Soccer Best Club's Kerry Agoos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 84th minute Kerry Agoos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vance Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Kapiolani FC's goalkeeper Vance Byrne had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolland Pike. Carson Whitt hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. The Power Soccer Best Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Power Soccer Best Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
