An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Vasile Gane got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Vasile Gane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Johnnie Stoner made a huge save. 31 minutes into the game, Jesse Underwood was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Spiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Radcliffe Football Club the free kick. In the 32nd match minute, Spiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesse Underwood to maneuver through the defense. When Jamal Carrington came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Spiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jamal Carrington couldn't finish the play. Vasile Gane's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johnnie Stoner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Blake Echols mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spiro and the Radcliffe Football Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Spiro getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Blake Echols hit a great ball. Franklin Allred hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 48 minutes of play, Spiro's Vasile Gane made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnnie Stoner was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Spiro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Radcliffe Football Club were winning 1-2.
Vasile Gane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johnnie Stoner having to interfere. Johnnie Stoner didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Thanh Stewart went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. In the 72nd minute Dale Webb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Palmkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dale Webb succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Radcliffe Football Club's Ruben Mims slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Torsten Palmkvist. That made the score 3-4 after 79 minutes of play. Vasile Gane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torsten Palmkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Webb in the 89th minute of the match. If Vasile Gane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Spiro manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Radcliffe Football Club to win.
