When Thanh Stewart came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Spiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thanh Stewart couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, North Marysville's Brock Busby got a free kick in the 5th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Hays during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 7th minute, one of Spiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Spiro. Milton Davenport showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Gane, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Daniel Kubáček fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Davenport having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Jamal Carrington hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Weston Fair got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jesse Underwood's late challenge caught a North Marysville's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. North Marysville's Milton Davenport played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Gane in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th minute Thanh Stewart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milton Davenport saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the North Marysville defense, Thanh Stewart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Milton Davenport. The North Marysville fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Milton Davenport should have stopped the shot. When Shawn Grover was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 30 minutes had been played. In the 31st match minute, North Marysville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shawn Grover to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Spiro's goal looked a bit too open when Jed Bright came free, but Torsten Palmkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. North Marysville's Milton Davenport played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Gane in the 47th minute of play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brock Busby made a kick off. 57 minutes into the game, Brock Busby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Torsten Palmkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 63rd minute, Jed Bright hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Milton Davenport showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Kubáček in the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 minutes, Milan Beasley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the North Marysville and the Spiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, North Marysville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milan Beasley to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind North Marysville's goalkeeper Milton Davenport, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vasile Gane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Davenport having to interfere. If Vasile Gane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vasile Gane could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Milton Davenport made a huge save. Milton Davenport made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Vasile Gane sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Jarrett Marcus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, North Marysville's Weston Fair got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Shannon Ernst's late challenge caught a Spiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Shannon Ernst helped the player get up and apologised. Shannon Ernst kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Brock Busby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Weston Fair charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Weston Fair the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. North Marysville's Milton Davenport proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save North Marysville from getting a goal against them. Milton Davenport took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thanh Stewart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Brock Busby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
