After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Copenhagen FC! Copenhagen FC:s Dana Lester showed great skill when he stopped Tyrese Odell:s penalty. Melvin Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melvin Benitez got free with Dana Lester in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Blackburn in the 27th minute of play forced Copenhagen FC's goalkeeper Dana Lester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dana Lester made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melvin Benitez in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes Copenhagen FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodney Barrios. In the 33rd minute, Andy Roberson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dana Lester, passed just outside the right post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Trevor Bernstein stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
