Spectators: 8068 (Terracing: 6053, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Abe Bellamy kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Cypress were awarded a corner. Berat Taybars went to the cornerflag to take it. After 9 played minutes Cypress got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Daley. 13 minutes into the match, Alden's goalkeeper Quinton Sewell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lincoln Herbert. In the 18th match minute, Alden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubin Mosher to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes of play, Cypress's Roger Bonds made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Quinton Sewell was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute of the match, Lincoln Herbert got a very nice opportunity to score, but Quinton Sewell was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 29th minute, Carlos Dobbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quinton Sewell came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Cypress's Lincoln Herbert. But to his dismay, Lincoln Herbert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Carlos Dobbs hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, one of Alden:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Alden. Jose Longoria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abe Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roger Bonds could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Quinton Sewell made a huge save. In the 45th minute of the match Troy Smiley shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jose Longoria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jose Longoria didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abe Bellamy went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roger Bonds made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Alden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kurtis Ellis to maneuver through the defense. Chu Mo Yong scored 4-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Quinton Sewell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Roger Bonds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Quinton Sewell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Alden's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Bonds came free, but Quinton Sewell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chu Mo Yong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Longoria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Dobbs in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Lincoln Herbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Quinton Sewell. Alden's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lincoln Herbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After having played for 91 minutes, Roger Bonds managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cypress's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Bonds was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Chu Mo Yong notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Alden's Quinton Sewell. Quinton Sewell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Lincoln Herbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cypress had played much better football throughout.
