In the 46th minute, Alden's Quentin Belanger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tyler Drummond. Tyler Drummond yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Zack Bentley notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Alden's Quinton Sewell. Quinton Sewell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Palos Verdes Estates getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Palos Verdes Estates's Sandy Warren got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tyler Drummond took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abe Bellamy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abe Bellamy took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tyler Drummond. Tyler Drummond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. The Palos Verdes Estates players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
