The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bryce Witherspoon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th match minute, Ingram was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hank Wheeler to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Zack Bentley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palos Verdes Estates's supporters rose to their feet, but Zack Bentley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryce Witherspoon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Palos Verdes Estates's Tyler Drummond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dale Joyner in the 13th minute of play. Zack Bentley who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Bryce Witherspoon when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vaughn Rushing blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bryce Witherspoon having to make a save. 19 minutes into the match, Ingram's goalkeeper Bryce Witherspoon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zack Bentley. After having played for 22 minutes, Vaughn Rushing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palos Verdes Estates's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vaughn Rushing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ingram's Dale Joyner in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palos Verdes Estates's goalie prevented a goal. Zack Bentley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Bryce Witherspoon made a huge save. Vaughn Rushing struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Bryce Witherspoon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palos Verdes Estates. If Zack Bentley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyler Drummond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodger Alvaro in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tyler Drummond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathan Peralta, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Ingram's Hank Wheeler got a free kick in the 58th minute. Zack Bentley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bryce Witherspoon having to interfere. In the 69th minute Johnathan Peralta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyler Drummond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tyler Drummond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dale Joyner in the 70th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodger Alvaro got free with Tyler Drummond in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute of the match Blake Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tyler Drummond skillfully saved the ball. In the 88th minute, Johnathan Peralta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tyler Drummond. The goal made the score 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Zack Bentley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palos Verdes Estates's supporters rose to their feet, but Zack Bentley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bryce Witherspoon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
