Gerard Milton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyler Drummond having to interfere. Kasey Amos charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kasey Amos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Higgins to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Palos Verdes Estates's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Higgins came free, but Tyler Drummond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tuan LeBlanc kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Dyer FC's Elvis Seymour played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thaddeus Broussard in the 82nd minute of play. Elvis Seymour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Bentley in the 85th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Zack Bentley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palos Verdes Estates fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. Scottie Shearer hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Palos Verdes Estates fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dyer FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
