Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Billz United's Ali McClure started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ali McClure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ali McClure received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Elliott Stapleton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 6 minutes into the game, Billz United's Ali McClure nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elliott Stapleton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rhett McKinley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Saucedo in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Billz United's goal looked a bit too open when Vern DeJesus came free, but Rhett McKinley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ali McClure got free with Elliott Stapleton in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Billz United's Rhett McKinley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie Goode in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ali McClure in the 29th minute of play forced Glen Ellyn's goalkeeper Elliott Stapleton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes, Vern DeJesus made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Billz United's Rhett McKinley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 41st minute Ollie Goode shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rhett McKinley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rhett McKinley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Saucedo in the 43rd minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Bernie Saucedo's late challenge caught a Billz United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernie Saucedo helped the player get up and apologised. Rhett McKinley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ollie Goode in the 55th minute of play. Lanny Li charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lanny Li the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Billz United getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Lanny Li hit a great ball. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Billz United! Billz United's Ali McClure managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Geoff Nicholas in the 67 minute of the game. 72 minutes into the game, Billz United's Lanny Li nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elliott Stapleton made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Billz United getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Florian Roman hit a great ball. Blair Levy kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Lanny Li fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elliott Stapleton having to interfere. The supporters of Glen Ellyn booed when Billz United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicky Benavides didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 96 played minutes, Glen Ellyn's Blair Levy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rhett McKinley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glen Ellyn reached it. In the 97th minute Joshua Burger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elliott Stapleton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
