Colonie FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sheldon Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chico Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Dahlstrom in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Colonie FC defense, Shaun Herndon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lonnie Blankenship. The Colonie FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lonnie Blankenship should have stopped the shot.
