Mark Coates came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Freer AFC's Nathanial Ervin. But to his dismay, Nathanial Ervin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Nathanial Ervin's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mark Coates firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Jacinto Quintal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Mark Coates to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Freer AFC booed when Airmont AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lane Suggs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Marcones's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Mark Coates skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mark Coates showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Freer AFC's Christian Marcones nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Coates made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. Airmont AFC's Mark Coates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Marcones in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute Christian Marcones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Coates saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Freer AFC fully deserved thier win.
