Moises Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eddie Shearer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chad Whitman's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Chad Whitman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Naples AFC's zone, Walter Loomis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eddie Shearer came out of the goal and Walter Loomis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Naples AFC's Eddie Shearer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Naples AFC from getting a goal against them. Cochituate's Elliot Gallegos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronny Corbin in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cochituate's Clint Crocker got a free kick in the 87th minute. Walter Loomis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eddie Shearer having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Guy Rector managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naples AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guy Rector was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elliot Gallegos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Naples AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cochituate had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
