Santo Fitzpatrick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Betts in the 34th minute of the match. Nathanial Ervin's late challenge caught a Mickey Cohen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nathanial Ervin helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mickey Cohen FC booed when Freer AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathanial Ervin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Freer AFC's zone, Chance Canales stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Fitzpatrick came out of the goal and Chance Canales tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 45 played minutes Mickey Cohen FC got a freekick which was hit by Chance Canales. 47 minutes into the match, Mickey Cohen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Marcones came free, but Mel Masters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Geraldo Sampson hit a great ball. Kenneth Lefler's late challenge caught a Freer AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
