With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donnie Whitehead in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill Burger saved Phoenix Suns Atletic from getting behind. Bill Burger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donnie Whitehead, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Suns Atletic's Leroy Blackburn got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After 26 played minutes Phoenix Suns Atletic got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Moore. Bill Burger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Brooks in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 played minutes Phoenix Suns Atletic got a freekick which was hit by Leroy Blackburn. 37 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Rushing came free, but Bill Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bill Burger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donnie Whitehead in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Tony Frye shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Burger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Phoenix Suns Atletic defense, Donnie Whitehead kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bill Burger. The Phoenix Suns Atletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bill Burger should have stopped the shot. Romeo Hodge hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romeo Hodge was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Suns Atletic's Romeo Hodge got a free kick in the 51st minute. 53 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goal looked a bit too open when Tony Frye came free, but Bill Burger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mitch Rushing in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Burger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leroy Blackburn got his second yellow card in the match during the 56th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Suns Atletic's Leroy Blackburn got a free kick in the 57th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper Bill Burger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donnie Whitehead. After 65 played minutes Inmortales FC got a freekick which was hit by Hector Hollandsworth. Mitch Rushing could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Bill Burger made a huge save. Bill Burger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitch Rushing's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Phoenix Suns Atletic's goalkeeper Bill Burger had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mitch Rushing. Enoch Hood charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enoch Hood the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Phoenix Suns Atletic got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Hood. In the 78th match minute, Phoenix Suns Atletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stacey Lefler to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, Tony Frye recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bill Burger. Tony Frye showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Romeo Hodge struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Cristopher Herndon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Suns Atletic. Inmortales FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
